Hitachi Air Conditioning keeps moving forward in the area of controls by IoT. New functionalities have been added into the latest software update for the airCloud Go app, all with one objective in mind: Helping consumers enjoy more comfort and savings, effortlessly. The new software update has been released worldwide.
Smart-Fence: Comfort and Energy Savings as Users come and go
With the new Smart-Fence Feature, airCloud Home provides you with automated comfort, energy savings and peace of mind. Users can set the Smart-Fence as per their preferences, including their home’s fence perimeter distance and thermal comfort temperature.
When arriving home – The air conditioner automatically turns on and helps cool down and warm up selected rooms, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
When leaving home – The air conditioner automatically turns off or adopts a pre-set temperature for better energy efficiency. Users will no longer be left wondering if they've remembered to turn off the AC before leaving home.
Smartphone App format allows for more intuitive controls
With 21 languages available in its interface, airCloud Home serves to enhance Hitachi air conditioners’ controls user experience. A minimal interface with user-friendly functions makes using air conditioning features easier than ever. Schedule and timer functions are simplified in the app compared to a standard air conditioning remote control. All user types - from beginners to experienced - can use airCloud Home easily to optimise their indoor comfort and energy efficiency.
An unlimited number of Hitachi air conditioners and locations can be connected, with shareable access to the user's family and even house guests.
In addition, the IoT connectivity of Hitachi air conditioners allows the airCloud Go to be paired with voice control assistants. Hitachi air conditioners have been approved within the Google Smart Home ecosystem and airCloud Go is also compatible with Amazon Echo smart speakers.
Expansion of Hitachi smart air conditioners into 2021 and beyond
Hitachi Cooling & Heating will continue to promote and offer smart air conditioners over the next few years. All upcoming Inverter Hitachi Cooling & Heating mini-splits will be designed to be IoT-ready, opening the option of control via smartphone** all over the world.
