VRF ionizer upgrades have an effective service life of between 4-6 years depending on the solution, with a good trade-off between improving air quality and maintaining energy efficiency.
– For VRF ducted systems
The Aqtiv-Ion Kit discreetly integrates into a ducted unit either at the time of installation or as a simple retrofit. It emits negatively charged ion particles which bind to and inhibit a range of viruses, bacteria, particles and odors. It has minimal impact on energy consumption consuming a maximum of 3W and operation is inaudible. It is 99.9% effective at inhibiting SARS-CoV-2(1), more than 99% effective(2) on a range of viruses, bacteria and pollution including PM2.5, and up to 75% effective at inhibiting odors(3).

Integrate any 3rd party DX air handling unit (AHU) into an Hitachi VRF system using our DX kit which enables integration of the refrigerant loop and H-LINK wiring connection for integrated control from an Hitachi CentralStation controller. AHUs come in a vast range of capacities with different air treatment modules utilizing filters, electro-static, ionization, ultra-violet and other forms of air quality treatment.

The MBD/MFD Series modular AHUs are designed for chiller systems and feature a range of air flow sizes up to 30,000 m3/h. A patented double skin prevents cold or heat leakage, isolating the internal and external metal casings by fixing the internal casing directly to a polyurethane foam layer. Every module has a sub pressure access door which opens outwards and a positive access door which opens inwards, so there is no cold bridge and air leakage of positive pressure and sub pressure sections. More than 10 different types of module are available including an air filters, humidification, spraying module (to adjust humidity, enthalpy or temperature), electronic purification, ultraviolet radiation sterilization, ozone generating and many more besides.
