VRF filter and ionizer upgrades have an effective service life of between 4-6 years depending on the solution, with a good trade-off between improving air quality and maintaining energy efficiency.

The Aqtiv-Ion Kit discreetly integrates into a ducted unit either at the time of installation or as a simple retrofit. It emits negatively charged ion particles which bind to and inhibit a range of viruses, bacteria, particles and odors. It has minimal impact on energy consumption consuming a maximum of 3W and operation is inaudible. It is 99.9% effective at inhibiting SARS-CoV-2(1), more than 99% effective(2) on a range of viruses, bacteria and pollution including PM2.5, and up to 75% effective at inhibiting odors(3).

The ViroSense Z2 with ZPT filter is easy to install without a technician – it simply replaces the existing standard filter in the cassette. Integrate any 3rd party DX air handling unit (AHU) into an Hitachi VRF system using our DX kit which enables integration of the refrigerant loop and H-LINK wiring connection for integrated control from an Hitachi CentralStation controller. AHUs come in a vast range of capacities with different air treatment modules utilizing filters, electro-static, ionization, ultra-violet and other forms of air quality treatment.
