Programmable thermostat

Programmable thermostats work in a similar way to traditional thermostats. They allow you to regulate the temperature of a space but automatically, according to a series of programmed settings that take effect at different times of the day.

Most programmable thermostats have separate programs for heating and cooling, as well as other functions to activate or deactivate different modes of operation.

It is worth noting Smart thermostats that can be used with home automation via Wi-Fi. They perform similar functions to a programmable thermostat, but also contain additional features such as sensors or the possibility to control them remotely.

In commercial applications, the thermostat may not contain any clock mechanism. Instead, other means can be used to select between the settings.
